St Chads was established as a daughter church to St Aidan’s in Remuera, in 1929. With steady growth through the early years a vicarage was built in 1953 and hall in 1958. Separate parish status was granted in 1975.
After many years of love and use we realised that the physical restraints of the building were hampering our ability to further develop our mission of reaching out into the community and cater for our own expanding needs.
With much consideration and planning and just over a year of construction, the new St Chads Church was opened on May 22nd 2010.
This is an exciting time for our church and we have great expectations of what God will do through us.
