The Celebrate Art Competition consists of six categories for Primary & Intermediate Students, High School Students and Adults in both 2 Dimensional and 3 Dimensional spaces. We welcome entries from anyone, but specifically encourage those in the wider Orakei area of Auckland.

This year we invite artists to reflect on 'What does celebrating community look like in our part of the world?'

The Celebrate Art Exhibition will be open during the Celebrate Christmas Party on 2nd December 2017. Placings and prizes will be awarded during the event. Artwork can be advertised for sale during exhibition.

The Fine Print:

Artwork must be original. Limited to two entries per person. Registrations close 18th November 2017 at 5pm. Artwork must be submitted to St Chads Community Centre before Thursday 30th December 2017 at 5pm. Unregistered entries will not be accepted.

2D' Art entries can be any media including but not limited to paint, photography, print etc. and must not extrude more than three inches (not including the canvas depth if applicable).

'3D' Art entries can be any media and must be freestanding.

If your entry requires a special installation then please add a note to your registration and we will contact you. The artist retains all copyright to their entry and there is no restriction on entering work which has been entered into other competitions.

By entering this competition you are giving St Chads Community Centre and its employees permission to use photographs or videos taken of your entry. Celebrate Art Exhibition will be open during the Celebrate Community Event on Saturday the 2nd December 2017. Judging will take place during the event. Entries are available for collection from 7-9pm on the day or afterwards by arrangement. Submitted art pieces can be put up for sale during the exhibition, with all sale money going to the artist (or parent/guardian if under eighteen).
